in Louisiana to be accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquarium.

Zoo Exhibits

The Baton Rouge Zoo is divided into several exhibits for the ease of viewing.
  • L'aquarium de Louisiane: Here one can see the popular reptiles, fishes & amphibians of Louisiana.
  • The Otter Pond: An interesting exhibit that offers unique underwater viewing of otters.
  • Parrot Paradise: This particular exhibit of the zoo is home to endless varieties of colorful & rare birds from tropics.
  • Kids Zoo: A children's hot-spot located near the Safari Playground of the zoo where kids get to enjoy an exciting hands-on-experience with numerous farm animals.
